See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.
A traditional coaching inn with elements from 16th to 18th centuries: Grade II listed. It has two inglenook fireplaces with real fires in winter. Outside is a large garden including an Aunt Sally pitch and a covered smoking area. There is a car park through the archway and bus 3 between Shipston and Banbury stops at the door. The pub sign again shows St George and not King George - apparently the masons constructing St George's church opposite lived here in the 1300s. New tenants Mark and Tracey reopened the pub in August 2020 after some months of closure.
